Raiding Update
Last night, our guild ran two 10-man groups into ICC. The group I was in one-shot everything up through Festergut, had a couple wipes on Rotface before he went down (we had several people that had never seen the fight), and then took a couple shots at Putricide. Unfortunately, we didn’t get anywhere near getting him down as we did on Monday – but this is a whole different composition of people, and we took two shots, not two hours. After having taken a couple nights off to recharge, it was nice to be back. Also picked up the Exalted ring for Ashen Verdict last night.
I read a great post on OutDPS yesterday about combat logs. I set up last night’s run to record (once I remembered about half-way through the Marrowgar trash), and this weekend I think I’ll fool around with the parse to see what I can glean from it. There’s been a lot of talk around the blogosphere as it pertains to BM raid viability, and I’ll just say that I’m glad I’m not in a “hardcore progression guild” that would require me to change the way I play. I enjoy BM – I like my giant red wolf, thank you very much. I am still at or near the top of all fights in ICC for DPS for our guild, we have a blast, and all that works for me.
